1. Introduction
Technical developments as the basis of the IT revolution such as smaller mobile communication terminals, faster point to point communications corresponding to increasing data communication for the INTERNET, new services by integrating comp uters and telecommunications equipment, etc., have been rapidly advancing recently. For quartz resonators, as a key device, various characteristics such as being smaller size and higher in frequency are needed.
In this report, I would like to introduce the technical trends of quartz resonators becoming smaller in size and higher in frequency.
