Development of Low Voltage + 0.9V Drive 2.0×1.6mm Crystal Oscillators Compliant with AEC-Q100/Q200 Quality-Specification NZ2016SFA and NZ2016SF

is pleased to announce that we developed a crystal oscillator (SPXO *1) "NZ2016SFA" and "NZ2016SF" that realize 0.9V low-voltage driving and 2.0×1.6mm sizing for in-vehicle safety applications in accordance with the in-vehicle quality standard AEC-Q100/Q200, and began shipping samples in December 2024.

In the field of vehicle-mounted SoC (System on a Chip) in recent years, miniaturization of processing has led to a demand for lower transistor operating voltage in order to place more transistors on the chip. As a result, the power supply voltage has shifted from the conventional + 1.8V to the + 0.9V and the low voltage. With this trend, low-voltage drive is also required for electronic components used in the vicinity of the SoC.
To meet customer needs, we have developed 2.0×1.6mm sized low-voltage drive oscillators for in-vehicle safety applications that achieve both power supply voltage and 0.9V±10% low-voltage drive compatible with in-vehicle quality-standard AEC-Q100/Q200 and that are compatible with +125°C high temperature (Grade1 *2). This product achieves high quality and reliability by implementing strict process control on an in-vehicle dedicated production line.
Our lineup includes NZ2016SFA for automotive safety applications and NZ2016SF for consumer applications. If you need samples, please contact our WEB or our sales representative.
