Synthetic Quartz Crystal for SAW Device

Features

■Compatible with 3 inch and 4 inch Wafers

This synthetic quartz crystal is manufactured to the optimum size according to the Quartz Wafer size for SAW devices.
We offer two types of wafer sizes for 3 inch and 4 inch wafers.

■Compatible with a Variety of Device Designs

The wafer cutting angles vary depending on the design of the SAW device. The smaller the cutting angle (θ), the larger the Z dimension of the synthetic quartz crystal must be. We manufacture synthetic quartz crystals that are compatible with various wafer cutting angles.

Quality

■High Quality

The number of etch channels (through holes) in the seed crystals, which adversely affect the photolithography process, is minimized by using seed crystals with few dislocations.
The foreign material density and the α3585 value respectively satisfy the Grade II and Grade C standards of the "JIS C 6704" synthetic quartz crystal quality standard.

Specifications

Precautions for Use

Make sure to read the following carefully before using synthetic quartz crystals:
Crystal quartz changes from α crystal to β quartz crystal at a temperature of 573℃ because of phase transition. This phase transition is reversible, but transition from β quartz crystal to α crystal does not take plase homogeneously, and twins are created. Therefore, careful attention must be paid to never allow the temperature to rise above 573℃.
