Nihon Dempa Kogyo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, CEO: Hiromi Kato, hereinafter referred to as "NDK") would like to inform you about the impact of the new tariff measures implemented by the U.S. government on April 2, 2025, and our response strategy as follows.

On April 2, 2025, the U.S. government announced new measures imposing additional tariffs, which could potentially affect our crystal device products exported to the U.S. market.

In fiscal year 2024, our sales to the U.S. market accounted for approximately 10% of total sales. While we anticipate an increase in costs for U.S.-bound products due to these tariffs, we expect the overall impact on our earnings to be minimal.

Furthermore, as there are no other crystal device manufacturers of similar scale in the U.S., we expect to maintain our position as a major supplier in the U.S. market, with no significant changes to our supply chain.

Additionally, we are considering various measures in the U.S. market and will continue efforts to minimize the impact of the increased tariffs. At the same time, in light of the significant changes in trade structures across countries due to this tariff measure, we plan to expand new business opportunities by leveraging our strong sales foundations in Japan, Europe, and Asia to enhance the overall stability of our business.

We will carefully assess the impact of these tariff measures when announcing our upcoming medium-term management plan and business plan for fiscal year 2025 and will provide appropriate information disclosures.
