Approaches to Supply Chain CSR

Approaches to Supply Chain CSR

Procurement Policies

In selecting suppliers, NDK makes efforts to evaluate their involvement in environmental activities, quality, price and capability of quality management, production and technique, considering their involvement in CSR (respect of human rights / involvement in health and safety, environment, ethics / exclusion of antisocial organizations, international terror organizations and armed groups). And NDK purchases materials from the suppliers that promote involvement in environmental activities positively, so that we could fulfill the NDK's philosophy, which is "being aware of its mission and responsibility as the top manufacturer in the world in the crystal products industry" and "contributing to the surrounding communities and recompensing its investors".

Mineral Procurement Policies

If products manumafutured or sold by NDK Group contain tantalum, tin, tungsten, gold and cobalt and such (details below) ("Conflict Minerals"), whose country of origin is Democratic Republic of the Congo, its adjoining countries and high-risk areas (details below), NDK Group will make efforts not to use Conflict Minerals that directly or indirectly encourage the activities of organization engaged in a risk and fraud such as 1) conflicts, 2) human rights violations including child labor or 3) poor working conditions, environmental destruction or corruption. We will also request our suppliers to do likewise in the supply chain.
