Corporate Philosophy Structure

Our new corporate philosophy structure is built around our mission. To bring this mission to life, we have established the Four Core Commitments as management guidelines and the Four Core Values as guidelines for employee behavior. These together express our approach to addressing society's many challenges. Since our founding, we have aimed to contribute to societal prosperity and world peace, and we will continue to create the value that society needs.

Background to the Formulation of Our New Mission

Since our founding in 1948, we have focused our business on crystal devices, delivering high precision, high-quality products worldwide, ranging from automobiles and smartphones to the aerospace field. However, the business environment has become increasingly uncertain due to rapid achievement in digital technologies such as AI, the emergence of geopolitical risks and trade issues including the U.S. tariffs. Furthermore, companies are now expected to create new values in pursuit of a sustainable society.

Considering these circumstances, NDK formulated its long-term strategy called "Vision 2030" in 2022, setting extremely high management targets
of ¥100 billion in net sales and an operating income ratio of 20% or more. To realize these goals, we have been scrutinising our business portfolio, review our profit structure, developing human resources, investing early in digital transformation (DX), and creating new businesses. In addition, NDK recognizes the need to build a resilient corporate structure and systems that enable sustainable initiatives.

To achieve these goals of "Vision2030" and continue advancing into the future, we have established our mission that empowers each employee to undergo a mindset transformation and unlock their full potential. Through repeated discussions to redefine our strengths beyond the framework of being a "crystal company", NDK has reaffirmed that our core technologies are centered on "wave motion", including radio waves, sound waves, and light waves.

Our corporate philosohy structure clearly articulates NDK's mission to contribute to solving social issues, world peace and the creation of a comfortable, safe and secure future society through our "wave-motion" technology. The mission expresses our values and direction, with the mission itself at the center, supported by the "Four Core Commitments" as management guidelines and "Four core values" as action guidelines.

Going forward, NDK will actively promote the adoption of our new mission throughout our domestic and overseas group companies, as well as among our stakeholders.
